From Sunday 13th Sept - Reduced opening timesFrom Sunday 13th September we will only be open on weekends. Weekend opening will continue until the water temperature drops down to 12 degrees.
OPENING TIMES CHANGESDue to our days slowly getting shorter (boo hoo!! :-( sad times). Therefore you need to be aware that we will not allow swimming when the light is insufficient to make sure you are all safe. This means that we will be opening slightly later on the early sessions and closing earlier in the evening sessions. Keep an eye of facebook and twitter for up to date information.
Opening 11th May 2014Sunday 11th May is our provisional opening date for this season. It is a provisional date because we are controlled by the water temperature with regards to opening. When the water reaches 12 degrees we will swing open the gates and welcome you all back. We have missed you so much. Getting excited now ............
Welcome to Shepperton Open Water Swim
Our lake is all about swimming first - which makes us a bit different! If you want to swim in open water at a unique location without the hussle and bussle of other activities then come and give us a try.
This is our lake, it's not shared with anyone else. There's no pressure from other users, there are no boats on the lake other than our safety canoes and there's definitely no feeling that you are encroaching on other, more profitable activities.
Our whole philosophy is that we cater for swimmers, we don't mind if you just want to do a leisurely 400m loop or are training for an Ironman or a cross-channel attempt. You want to swim in clean, clear water; you want to have a relaxed atmosphere; you need changing facilities and toilets; you would like a hot drink when you're done. All that, and more, is here for you.
And if you fancy something a bit competitive then we have regular timed swims that you can use to check your progress.
Not sure about getting into open water? Not a problem! We have guided swims for individuals and groups, there's a resident coach to help you progress and there's always a safety crew on standby.
